This is my go to recipe all the time since I found your channel! My daughter absolutely love them! We make extra, freeze them individually and pull them out when it is time to fry them up.

I know you replaced a lot of various stuff and I’m with you on that, choice, but I need to point out, I don’t think “currants” here are raisins. Currants are a different fruit. They aren’t dried grapes. There is a type of small dried grape sometimes sold with the name currant, we call them “Zante currants” to distinguish them in the US & those would maybe be equivalent to raisins. That might be contributing to the confusion online. I’m not positive on this, BUT considering the directions say ~Washed, picked, and scrubbed clean~ that implies I think that they’re talking about fresh picked fruit, not dried. Fresh currants are from the same family as gooseberries. They used to be very popular on both continents but we’re outlawed a long time ago because people thought they were spreading a tree disease. Black currant is still a very popular flavor in some countries. They’re very tart and earthy and delicious. Fresh fruit would give that a very different texture and moistness. A closer approximation to their flavor and juiciness might be cranberries (like a cranberry muffin style).

I’ve made the stewed sea prune soup. I used salmon, cubed chicken bullion, shiitake mushrooms and cabbage. So delicious and comforting.

My countrymen will certainly correct you, but the last T in Croissant is silent. Also, the cleaver you bought is for meat. It is not used on everything. What you wanted is a chinese cleaver, which you can find in any stores in the 13th arrondissement (chinatown) .

I actually just found Bridgerton yesterday! I watched a whole bunch of Colin and Pen, I started watching it because of a short when the mom and 2 of her daughters are talking, and the mom is trying to describe how women experience sex vs. men and she says when he inserts himself...... and Phillipa says inserts himself??? Inserts himself where?? I laughed so hard...... anyways I clicked on the Netflix logo , and started my journey.... so far it's Pen & Colin for me!!❤ I love your channel, you seem to have so much fun!
